Job Description
At Procol, our impressive growth is testament to the significant advancements we’ve made in enhancing cross-functional efficiencies and productivity. To sustain this momentum, we are seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to collaborate closely with our founders and executive team. From the outset, this individual will play a crucial role in boosting our productivity by streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management and investor relations, facilitating cross-functional workstreams, and driving OKR adoptions across departments.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving successful business outcomes for startups across the 0 – 10 journey as a senior CoS / Operator, with a strong grasp of strategy and operations. Additional experience in Management consulting and/or Venture VC – PE is highly preferred.
What you will do
Investor Relations:
- Facilitate the preparations and organize collaterals for board meetings, investor presentations, business updates etc. and any other executive-board engagements.
- Serve as the POC and internal resource for both current as well as potential investors.
- Lead fundraising efforts, including the preparation of pitch materials, conducting research on VC-PE landscape, supporting fundraise conversations, managing due diligence processes etc.
Strategy and Operations:
- Act as an advisor and sounding board to the CEO on key business decisions.
- Run point on AOP & business planning exercises. Conduct periodic FP&A reviews to actively monitor the organization’s fiscal health and recommend course-corrections where needed.
- Collaborate with the founders and executive team to develop and implement OKRs, ensuring goal alignment across departments and tracking their timely execution.
- Develop, adopt and refine KPI’s. Build a data-first culture by rigorously analyzing business performance data and provide actionable insights to inform executive decision-making.
- Oversee daily operations, and proactively resolve challenges to ensure optimal performance.
- Review, design, and execute improvements to organizational structure; find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them.
New Initiatives:
- Helm key cross-functional initiatives and workstreams with the buy-in of executive stakeholders.
- Proactively and systematically drive market research efforts to improve our product positioning and competitiveness, working directly with founders to address critical product challenges.
- Drive in-house efforts to Identify and develop new revenue channels and opportunities.
- Own any other strategic initiatives or special projects as mandated by the CEO.
What would you bring to the table
- Minimum 5 years as a senior operator or CoS in a high-growth startup, alongside stints in management consulting or VC – PE. Prior background in the B2B SaaS or US enterprise technology spaces are a plus.
- An MBA from a top-tier business school is preferred, but not mandatory.
- A catalyst who is able to efficiently drive alignment, decision-making and informed debate
- Highly organized, with extensive experience in managing multiple projects across various stakeholders with a demonstrable attention to detail.
- Proven experience in building and managing mid-large teams, and/or directing cross-functional resources.
- Ability to influence without authority and build relationships across the organization
- A builder by nature with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a very high bar of ownership and accountability. This role is ideal for future founders.
